These will need a further 12 months of ‘growing on’ in a shaded cold frame or similar to get to ‘planting out’ size. This is an economical way to obtain plants for larger projects if you can wait a while.

Fresh cuttings taken in September / October

	One year on - the cuttings now have a good root system and have grown a little. They have been ‘re-trayed’ to give them more space. It is at this stage that we offer rooted cuttings. ie You grow them on, we don’t !!

		End of year two - that is one year from the rooted cutting stage - plants are 4 to 6 inches or more high (10 to 15 cm) and are ready for planting.
